I am a few hours late on my Friday update, seeing how it is Saturday morning here.
Yesterday was a quiet day, no events, spent the entire morning and afternoon trying to get some cash. I wanted so bad to try and do it myself, but I couldn't find a single place that would give me cash from a credit card. I went to two banks, the post office, exchange bureaus, 5 of them and western union. I finally had to have family send some cash via western union. I ca relieve how many places here do not accept swipe cards, oh, that's what they call credit cards here. So my 12 hour ordeal ended last night just before midnight when I finally had the right confirmation correct and could get the cash. Just in time, let me tell you, down to my last €10.
I had water polo tickets for today, but seeing how I got nothing productively done yesterday and the girl from our group bunking above me has yet to see an Olympic event or the Olympic Park, I sold her my ticket. So my Saturday will be spent doing laundry, beginning to pack, actually watching some Olympic events on tv, and having dinner at my new favorite restaurant.
Sunday I have women's diving medal match for the 3m, springboard. I plan on seeing the tower of London and the London Bridge afterward to complete sightseeing for my trip.
It's almost time to go home. I really like London, and Paris, I hope I can come back to Europe some day and see more. On a side note, the British accent is very contagious, I find myself saying things with an accent, and I have only been here for a little more than a week. :-)
