Today I saw women's beach volleyball at the Horse Guards Parade venue. The US women, Ross & Kessy won in a nail-bitter. The view from my seat was amazing and I dont mean the view of the playing field. I took so many pictures today. After beach volleyball, I went to the Eye, saw Big Ben, House of Parilment and Westminster Abbey.
Ironically the moment today that put the biggest smile on my face wasn't team USA's victory in beach volleyball, wasn't the sights from the Eye or seeing Big Ben or the infamous Westminster Abbey, it was in the underground. A man was playing "My Heart will Go On" - Celine Dion song, on a harp. It was so beautiful, I gave him my change. He thanked me and I realized he was deaf. He was amazing, I wanted to stay there and just listen to him.
That reminds me, I have seen some crazy musical instruments in the underground this week. There was a bag pipe, accordian, a violin, cello, trumpet and the most ironic, a French horn in Paris. There were a few guitars as well, but that is common for me to see in subway stations in NYC.
Thought I have taken a number of photos, I am having difficulty posting them to my website. They are taking too long to upload, sorry. I have put a couple on Facebook and twitter during the course of the day today. I figure I am going to have to organize all my pictures when I get back home when I am sitting in front of a normal computer that allows multi-tasking. The iPad, just doesn't cut it for all that I want to do. So, sorry. I will get that album up on my site when I get home next week.
Tomorrow is a relaxing day for me. I am going to see Wicked in the evening and maybe spot the London Bridge, which I have yet to see. I need a day to regroup and get my stuff together and just give my legs a chance to rest. Walking today was bad for me. I think I may have injured my calf along with my ankles, it feels like my calf muscle is tearing, its bad. It doesn't help that my sneakers can't take all the walking and are literally falling apart. I was planning on site-seeing tomorrow, but I saw a lot of thing I wanted to today, so I am going to give myself the day to relax. Oh, if you are lucky, I will post about my trip to Paris. :-)
Till tomorrow
