What is Archery?
Archery requires the use of bows and arrows. Once a means for hunting, is now a sport that requires precision and accuracy. Archers will shoot at a bullseye target from 70 meters away.
Olympic History of Archery
Originally added as and Olympic sport in 1900. Archery has been played at the 1900, 1908, 1920 Olympics before being played at consecutive Olympics since 1972.

Number of Competitors
128 - 64 men and 64 women with a maximum of 6 representatives per country.

Team Team
Each individual or team begins the competition with a "ranking round". The rank of each individual or team will determing the seeding position for the elimination round. Elimination rounds are played via head-to-head competition.
